Today, Orangeville Public Library unveiled a new Strategic Plan and logo at its Open House at the Mill Street Library.
The plan is a forward-looking strategy that presents a vision for the future - Orangeville Public Library is a place to connect and discover, where learning and possibility allows each member to soar.
Focusing on three strategic directions, the plan outlines action items to meet the needs of residents now and into the future:
"The Library Board is excited to share the strategic plan with the public,” said Bill Rea, Chair of the Orangeville Public Library Board. “By following this new roadmap, we will deliver innovative and dynamic services that respond to the aspirations of our community. Our commitment is to build upon our customer-focused services, offer new technology and digital literacy programs, and create community spaces that are welcoming and inclusive.”
The plan is based on community input. In 2021, the Library Board invited the community to take part in a survey to help shape the future of the Orangeville Public Library by helping them identify the needs and wants of their patrons.
The library is also introducing a new modern logo based on the library's Connect . Discover . Soar tagline. This new brand identity and colours reflect a new focus on technology and learning and literacy development in all its form. It's a visual indicator of a broader transformation from collections to connections.
