Borrowing Microfilm

The library  is able to order reels of microfilm from the Archives of Ontario and the United Church of Canada Archives. Use the links below to determine what records are available. Once you have the title, reel and microfilm group code for an item, you can ask us to order it by filling out a microfilm request form. When the reels arrive we will contact you to arrange a time to use the microfilm reader.

The Archives of Ontario (AofO) offers more than 32,000 reels of their most popular genealogical  and research microfilm through interloan with public libraries. Please visit the AofO Microfilm Interloan Service website to find out what's available and the information you will need for us to order the material.

The United Church of Canada Archives (UCCA) offer more than 200 reels of microfilmed records for the library to borrow on your behalf. Records include birth, death and marriage information, parish records, Board minutes and membership records. Reels include information from several Dufferin County churches. Please visit the UCCA website for a list of the microfilm available.
